You mentioned an update for the Rift S but I don't see any new information.
I would imagine the Quest 2 would be easier but I don't see any data on that either.
Will the Oculus Link work with the Quest/Quest2?
I just got the Roto and am learning all about it now.
Thanks,
Sol
Thanks a lot!
I so want this chair to be real but no unboxing videos on YouTube? Where's all the "I got mine and OMG AMAZING" videos?
Looks like it can do well for Elite Dangerous even if it's wired through link?
I use Oculus Quest 2 exclusively but most likely with the Link cable due to battery usage.
Where's the big announcement you promised?
Thanks. Actually Roto works with the latest Logitech wheel in the US (with removable power cable) but Roto doesn't (at this moment) offer the best racing experience. Roto will be best for ith native game support and our reverse engineered method to ensure compatibility with cockpit games (Cockpit Mode) is very clever but isn't brilliant. Elite Dangerous us brilliant with it:) Soon we hope to have native support for a few racing games and it will be just plug and play
Hi Sean, glad they are at last responding for a £2500 product (with accessories)
I'm glad you are happy ... But note a quest 2 is wireless?
The chair spins which I am sure is fun, however the selling point is the fact it doesn't require overhead cable management. But wait it does?
I saw a Youtube video (free to reviewer) and even the Hotas (T.16000m) required cables and the Thrustmaster 16000m is purportedly supported?
It appears to me they are selling a product that supports no "WIRED" headsets of the present era? or any controller a decent rig would include?
The only controller (steering wheel) they state works is a cheap version from thrustmaster, and even then only if you buy an asian version not avaialable in the UK?
You are not the only person they have ignored ... With such a pricey purchase I expect to know what the ins and outs of the product are ... which I would normally find by googling ... failing googling I don't expect answers to require dragging WATER OUT OF STONE ... Believe me I have googled beyond normal to find answers about this piece of outdated equipment >>>
The fact people have stopped asking questions is the lack of response from this company ...
I am glad you are happy with a product built for hardware of four years ago, but I have modern equipment >>>
Hello pvgill03
I was having some communication issues with them. I am not sure what happened but am giving them the benefit of the doubt as they have been very good at communicating as of late. I received a call from the owner on Easter weekend and we spoke at length and he was very nice and honest and sincere. I’m not sure what was happening but I may have jumped the gun with my criticism. The company is very involved and they have done a great job from the very top communicating with me. The chair is absolutely beautiful and as with anything new there is a learning curve. I believe they are in the process of coming out with an updated module that will support the newer vr systems. I haven’t had time to really get the chair fully working with my hostas for elite dangerous but I did have success with the steering wheel/pedals for dirt 2 with my valve index.
I can confirm that it does work with the Quest 2. I do have the virtual desktop so I can play my steam games. Again, please understand that I was frustrated when I wrote my previous comment. The company reacted very positively and quickly once they learned of my frustration. Please do not let my previous, frustrated comments sway you in a negative way. I believe they put out a solid product and that they stand by it and customer service is a priority. They will go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy. I mean it.
I'm glad I wrote here before purchasing ... it seems the company is on its last legs ... nothing updates, news is stagnant, and there is no enthusiasm to answer questions :(
Hi guys, I'm afraid to say the Rift-S uses a problematic combination of USB-C AND Display Port for us. We've got DP working now (in production) in combination with power for Index and Vive Pro, but alas Rift S is a 'no go' I'm afraid. Roto works with Quest and Quest 2 (as they are wireless)...we are still working on a USB-C solution to connect to PC. Whilst Rift S has already effectively been discontinued by Facebook, USB C is going to be a growing requirement for the future. We have a bunch of announcements coming shortly and we will for sure be commenting on compatibility. I hope this is helpful
The Rift S isn't going to happen, were you planning on making a proper announcement about this? I am sure you about to get a lot of unhappy customers
If you are more interested in regular Dying Light cheats PC or Dying Light PS4 cheats or Dying Light cheats Xbox One, you should scroll down to next section. It does no comprehensive cheats such as dying light PC Cheats, but still we will not let you down.
Hi, Quest 2 works great with locally downloaded games. We are working on supporting the Link 2 for PC support.
Rift CV1 works great.
Rift-S isn't going to happen I'm afraid.
Vive works great.
Vive Pro and Index we now have a solution for and we're rolling it out soon.
Will the eventual ROTO VR Chair update come as something that an owner can fit to an existing chair as an adapter and when are we likely to see it? I don`t mind paying for an adapter to keep the chair upto date with headsets just don`t want to have to buy a new chair.
How do we get on the list for the fix? And any word on the RiftS?
And the Rift S?
Hi Graham, Roto works with Quest 2, just not the Link 2 connection to PC. I'm delighted to report we have now solved the Link2 connectivity however it will take some time before we can get into mass production (after Chinese New Year), so likely we can offer in March for delivery in April or May.
would a display port to HDMI adaptor work?
I'm afraid not. We are on it I promise
Is there an adaapter we can use in the meantime?
Hi Sol, Quest 2 is great with Roto, but we don't yet support the Link 2 cable to the PC (the bandwidth of USB-C/3 is proving difficult but we'll get there.
Likewise we don't yet support the Rift S's Display Port cabling, but we are likely close to a solution here.
