‘The Letter S’
As the whole world has shut down for a little bit to recover, you may be asking yourself ‘What can I do with all this free time?’. Alternatively, you may be staring at your games libraries not knowing where to start.
In this new series of blog posts, we’re going to be talking through some of the games we’ve played on the RotoVR chair, as well as other titles that we think will be enhanced by the chair.
As always, if you have played any games on the RotoVR chair that we’ve not listed in this series, or you know of a few games that you think would work well with the RotoVR chair, please get in touch through our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
And as a little nod to a childhood favourite, Sesame Street, today is brought to you by the letter ‘S’.
Described by Steam as “A true, full-length open-world game for VR … it reimagines the complete epic fantasy masterpiece with an unparalleled sense of scale, depth, and immersion.” And we couldn’t agree more.
The game itself is already so immersive, even before adding the RotoVR to the party. The graphics are beautiful and there’s something extremely satisfying about controlling the flames coming out of your hands.
Then you add the chair, and this just adds a whole other level of immersion. The rumble can be hooked up to the game audio to provide depth, especially during tense moments.
Being seated also allows for longer playtimes, as you don’t get tired from standing, but the rotation from the chair allows you to turn the same as you would standing, providing the same level of gameplay.
Oh Serious Sam. We’ve not had the chance to sit down and play through the whole game at once, but the snippets we have done, are SO much fun.
It’s a fast-paced shooter, and when you have enemies attacking you from all sides, the rotation of the chair and the rumble really amplifies the immersion of the game.
A definite recommendation from the RotoVR team, in fact potentially a #1 recommendation.
Space Pirate Trainer
Space Pirate Trainer is a fun, feel good game. With bright neon lights, a range of weapons and thrilling gameplay, this is a fun little game to take your mind off the world for a while.
We’ve even got a competition running in the office to see who can get the highest score!
So, there you have it. A few recommendations of tried and tested games on the RotoVR. Stay tuned, as we’ll also be exploring single and multiplayer games on the RotoVR, as well as experiences we’ve yet to try but think would be amazing on the RotoVR!
If you’ve played any different games on the chair, or have recommendations of games to try, then please feel free to get in touch, we’d love to hear them.
