I hope everyone is safe and well.


It's been a while since I shared an update.  It's been a rollercoaster of a year as you might imagine.


I’d like to start with some great news, which is that every customer who placed an order (or pre-order going back many years) has now received their Roto - that’s across 65 countries - and reviews are 5/5 stars!  It has taken a massive effort and it’s a great achievement, but only possible thanks to the patience of our customers and investors. Thank you to everyone.


And I’m delighted to say Roto is now being adopted across a wide range of use cases, including arcades, universities, schools, training and even the military.  The Holodec in Philadelphia is a great example of how an innovative entertainment company is using ten (!) Rotos to offer a variety of games and movie experiences to their customers in VR.

Thanks to the continued efforts of companies such as Facebook who are leading the charge, we are confident VR adoption will grow across all types of industries and ultimately will form part of everyday life, whether it be watching movies, playing games, interacting, working and even shopping in VR.


Our vision is that most people will prefer to do these activities whilst sitting down - and thanks to renewed support from our investors, we continue strengthen Roto as the market leader for seated 360-degree exploration and immersion."I have a Roto VR and now I won't play VR without it. We have an year ahead:


Highlights:

  • We have recently moved and upgraded our manufacturing facilities in China. It means going forwards we can be more responsive with supply and continue to operate our high-quality control processes. We have also expanded our distribution reach and now as I write this, for the first time we have stock available in all territories and we can deliver pretty much anywhere within 3-5 business days.
  • To celebrate achieving our delivery goals and now having stock in almost all countries - we have decided to offer an exclusive discount to our followers and subscribers of $500 off of our Roto VR chair. Please expect to be contacted separately.
  • We are also super excited to be announcing our new product, Roto Pulse. More details will follow shortly.
  • Last November we showcased Roto with our wonderful experiential retail partner Smartech in Selfridges London, one of the most well-renowned department stores in the world. And people loved it!  Following our great reception, I’m delighted to say Roto is now a permanent feature in Selfridges on Oxford Street, which this week has now reopened. So please do come down, check it out and say hi.
  • We have now developed Cable Magazines to support Vive Pro and Valve Index (in the production queue). We are still working on the Link 2 Cable Magazine for Quest 2. Some bad news though, we have concluded that the Oculus Rift-S is not viable for us to support as the reliability is not consistent enough for mass production when combining USB-3 with Display Port. I know a few customers have been relying on this development (and we have been in touch), but still it’s pretty gutting to report. If we find a breakthrough we will of course reach out.
  • Our Roto Basket is now in production! I think people will be surprised how useful they are when getting on-and-off of the chair. Simple, but effective.
